The 2011 County Open Golf Events have taken on a new twist this year!  In an effort to increase participation, the golf tournament has been changed to a one day Stroke Play Tournament at the Houlton Community Golf Course on Friday, August 12^th. There will be morning and afternoon flights based on divisions. If one day of golf just isn't enough, make sure to also sign up for our 4-person Mixed Scramble on Saturday, August 13^th at Va-Jo-Wa Golf Club in Island Falls. Registration is separate for each event, so you can golf a little or golf a lot! A practice round is included with each entry fee. Practice for tournament participants will be either Wednesday, August 10^th or Thursday, August 11^th at the Houlton Community Golf Course. In the event of rain cancellation on either day, the events will be held on Sunday, August 14^th.

Golfers in the tournament are placed in one of four divisions – Mens’ A/B/C divisions, and Ladies. Golfers in the A & B division will tee off Friday morning, followed by the C and Ladies divisions later in the morning. Tee off times will be posted closer to the day of the event. Registration is limited to 140 players, resulting in faster play and more enjoyable golf.

Registration for each event is $50. Golf cart rental is not included, so make sure to contact the courses early to reserve your cart. Prizes will be awarded for the top three golfers for both gross and net in each division.
